God's Own Fool - Michael Card

For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. For it is written:
“I will destroy the wisdom of the wise;
the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate.”
Where is the wise person? Where is the teacher of the law? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe.
1 Corinthians 1: 18-21

    Contrasted with the Fool of Psalm 14 or 54 who lives as a practical atheist (who? ME??) we are to be humbled fools sold out to the Father's will... May He fill you (and me...) with that wisdom.

  2. This is one of the songs that I grew up on and have really cherished over the years. I'd never seen Card perform though, like on a video, so that was cool.

"A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels." Proverbs 1:5
"How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!" Psalm 119:103
I can't wait to hear what you have to say to me, whether it be words of wisdom or some sweet honey of encouragement. But if it isn't either of those, please be respectful and keep your thoughts to yourself.
