In my own little world it hardly ever rains
I’ve never gone hungry, always felt safe
I got some money in my pocket, shoes on my feet
In my own little world
Population: me
...I turn off the news when I don't like what I see
Yeah, it’s easy to do when it’s
Population: me
What if there’s a bigger picture?
What if I’m missing out?
What if there’s a greater purpose
I could be living right now
Outside my own little world
~ some of the lyrics from "My Own Little World" by Matthew West
"I raised you up for this very purpose, that I might display my power in you and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth... Does not the potter have the right to make out of the same lump of clay some pottery for special purposes and some for common use?" Romans 9: 17 & 21

"A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels." Proverbs 1:5
"How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!" Psalm 119:103
I can't wait to hear what you have to say to me, whether it be words of wisdom or some sweet honey of encouragement. But if it isn't either of those, please be respectful and keep your thoughts to yourself.

This song is so poignant to me because I'm one of those people that has always gotten ribbed for living in my own little world. I'm just fine being left to myself, but there's a bigger world out there full of hurting people that maybe I can touch if I only reach out my hand. I like the font and color effects. :D
